Babs

I'm sorry. We've been through this with both sets of parents and it's a hard way to learn lessons. What helped me, like you, was letting others know what to expect and how to deal with it. A few other things to watch for: if they're still driving, look for new scratches or dings on the cars; is there personal hygiene slipping and do they avoid seeing doctors hoping things will get better on their own? They seldom do with the elderly.

Sadly, doctors don't always see what we can or make matters worse by over-medicating or doing interventions that aren't warranted. Again, my condolences.

Thanks Babs!
