There was a whole lot of "should I" going on about shelves or additional storage in the kitchen. Ultimately I decided that since I had managed to stow all necessary gear in the space available, it was obviously unnecessary to add more storage space. Which left my north wall free for ART.
What have we here? Left to right:
photo taken through microscope of a picture jasper;
Chinese zodiac animals in cast metal (shadowbox) over collection of netsuke and ojime;
photo by Scott Chieffo of arched rocks on Mendocino coast, purchased on recent vacation; over
print of Crumbo painting of fanciful horse, used to belong to my Nana;
the waterfall cloud photo that was in the bathroom;
oil painting from vacation, over
print of bathing ladies on beach, that we found on a trip to Morro Bay.
The south wall, obviously, is full of cabinets. The display shelf above and the little things over the sink help break up all that white.
The little towel bar to the left of the sink was sold as a cabinet-door pull. Very functional. :-)
